SurveysKnee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score - physical function shortform panel [KOOS-PS]
Definition
The KOOS-PS is a derivative of the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Score (KOOS). It is a reduced 7-item short measure of physical function using the daily living, sports and recreational activity subscales of the KOOS. This tool is intended to attain a feasible, short measure of physical function with interval level properties to assess the patient's opinion about their knee and associated problems. KOOS-PS was originally scored from no difficulty (0) to extreme difficulty (100). To align with the concurrently developed pain measure (ICOAP) it was decided that both measures should be scored from best (0) to worst (100), as is the tradition in measures developed within rheumatology.
