ClinicalUrothelial carcinoma recurrence score Urine Molecular genetics method
Definition
An overall score for the probability of recurrence of urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (UCB) based on the presence of urine-based tumor markers in urine specimens by molecular genetic methods. Testing is performed for the diagnosis and surveillance of bladder cancer patients. Various non-invasive molecular assays exist for the detection of UC. Results may include an overall genetic expression score as well as a score for the recurrence of UC (this term). The submitter's test score ranges from 0-10 where a score of <3.5 is 'low probability of recurrent UC' and a score > or = 3.5 means 'clinician-directed protocol to determine the presence of recurrent UC, is warranted.[PMID: 27986532][PMID: 31028363]
