LaboratoryAggressive prostate cancer risk [Score] by Calculated by ExoDx
Definition
This term was developed for ExoDx™ Prostate Test (IntelliScore). The ExoDx™ Prostate Test is a reverse-transcription PCR analysis of the genes PCA3, ERG, and SPDEF in urine. The ExoDx's IntelliScore is calculated based on a proprietary algorithm that uses PCA3, ERG, and SPDEF molecular results. The score is used to surmise the patient's risk of aggressive prostate cancer and help determine whether or not a biopsy should be performed. [PMID: 30129068] The ExoDx™ Prostate Test differentiates high and low grade cancer from benign diseases, using a cutoff score of 15.6. Patients with an Intelliscore above 15.6 are recommended for biopsy. [PMID: 27032035]
