Definition

The frequency (days/week, min/week, hours/day, etc.) that the patient spends doing moderate to vigorous aerobic physical activity per week. Adults who do 300 minutes (5 hours) of moderate intensity aerobic physical activity a week, or 150 minutes of vigorous intensity aerobic physical activity, have greater health benefits. For children and adolescents, the 2008 PAG recommends about 60 minutes or more per day and at least 3 days per week of either moderate- or vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity.
